About Blakeney and the surrounding area
Blakeney Point is a fabulous bird and wildlife habitat with it also being the home to the famous colony of seals. Regular boat trips out to the point are available throughout the year so you can get up close and catch a glimpse of the seal in their natural habitat.
The lovely village of Blakeney is set on a small hill leading down to the harbour and has pretty flint cottages, tea rooms, hotels and pubs.
Morston is set in a very pretty area and used to be a major port 400 years ago, but is now only used by a small number of fishing boats, leisure craft and the regular seal watching trips which leave for Blakeney Point. Its red roofed houses and the church are surrounded by a vast stretch of marshland going to the sea and during the Spring tides the sea edges ever closer to the village.
